Tim and I had the privilege of being part of our buddy Quest’s entourage at the Saved Festival last night at the Araneta Coliseum. Prior to going to the event, I was dead set on meeting Parachute Band. I’ve been watching their YouTube videos for the past weeks and ever since I started listening to them, I became more and more excited about Saved Festival and the opportunity to meet them.
But of course, the main purpose was to come into an intimate moment with God and just worship so I had to bring the excitement down regarding my desire to meet Parachute Band and even the other artists and just focus on God.
We arrived at Araneta just in time for Quest’s turn to soundcheck on stage. This was a special moment for me. As I was assisting Portable Sound (Quest’s band) in making sure their levels were okay on their monitors and the on the house speakers, I started walking on the ramp going to the audience area. As I was walking, I was staring at the empty seats and envisioning them being filled up of worshipers. I told God quietly in my heart, “Lord I’ll be here next year right?…Yeah Lord, I’ll be here next year.” I smiled and walked away, just letting my faith carry me through.
Fast forward to my buddy Quest’s performance: he rocked it. Oh how he just rocked it. I believe my brother’s made for this. He has a special anointing and God’s been using him mightily and I am just being blessed everytime I see him perform or even hang out with him to just talk. Exciting times are ahead! :)
Parachute Band was the fifth performer, and when they started rocking Araneta like it was a crazy rock concert, I felt a vibe that was so special. I was personally connected to their songs and I really believed God was using them along with the other artist to mightily minister to everyone who attended. Personally, they ministered to me in such a unique way and I couldn’t explain it until Omega shared briefly his life testimony - how he was born with his thumb on his forehead, how he had a difficult early life and how God was able to turn his life around and lead him to the calling He planned him to be in, which is Parachute Band. After he shared his testimony, I knew I had to meet this man and just ask him to pray for Tim and I.
At the near end of the show, I told Quest Tim and I want to meet Omega. We saw him at the Patron side near the stage while Citipointe was still setting up, so Quest grabbed him aside and brought him to Tim and I. We excitedly introduced ourselves to him and really asked him how God called him to do what He’s doing now. We also relayed our story to him, how God brought us to Israel the past month and just dealt with us there by really revealing to us our calling in life and that is to really go fulltime in doing ministry through music. He was really all smiles when he heard us tell our story so he just decided to pray for us right then and there. He held our heads and just prayed and gave us special anointing and prophetic words of new songs about to be born again from our gifts. After this special moment, I just had to tell him, “Can I hug you bro?” and with his approval I did give him a hug that made me really emotional, just because I never really expected that moment to happen - from watching his band’s youtube videos to actually meeting him in person and just receive a special anointing - I AM OVERWHELMED. HUMBLED. And I look up to my God and just say, ”Thank You Jesus. This was no accident. You allowed this to happen. And I am excited.”

The things that are happening now are just crazy. It’s like bits and bits of pieces are slowly connecting, as I walk on water in pursuing my calling. All I can say is this:
Jesus be glorified. You are my foundation and I want my life to be always built around You.
THE BEST IS YET TO COME.
